Last updated 15 October 2026 · Ejuvo Ltd
This policy explains what personal data Ejuvo Ltd (“Ejuvo”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit ejuvo.rw and when you use our products, starting with Notrev (notrev.rw and the Notrev mobile apps), why we collect it, where it goes, and how you can have it deleted. We are a company registered in Rwanda and we handle personal data in line with Rwanda’s Law relating to the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy.
1. This website
The Ejuvo company website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics. If you email us, we receive what you choose to include: your email address, your name and your message. We use it only to reply to you.
2. Data we collect through Notrev
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Account details: your email address, your name, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name and email address from Google. | To create and secure your account, verify your email and let you sign in. |
| Guest use: you can try Notrev without an account. Guest sessions have no name, email or password. | To let you try the product before signing up. |
| Uploaded notes and past papers: the PDFs or images you upload, the text we extract from them, and the topics and questions generated from them. | To build your study plan, practice questions and explanations. This is the core of the product. |
| Study plan details: what you’re preparing for (a CAT, an exam or general revision), your assessment date and the minutes per day you can study. | To plan your study sprints around the time you actually have. |
| Practice results: your answers, quiz scores, topic mastery and study streaks. | To show your progress and focus your revision on your weakest topics. |
| Technical data: IP address, browser or device type, and sign-in session records. | To keep your account secure, detect abuse and fix problems. |
Your browser or phone may also keep small amounts of data on your device (for example, to keep you signed in and to make the app work offline). We do not use this for advertising.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show advertising based on your notes or activity.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, maintain and improve Notrev and our other products.
- To generate study plans, questions and explanations from your uploaded material.
- To send essential messages, such as email verification and security notices.
- To protect our users and services against fraud, abuse and security threats.
- To respond to your messages and to meet our legal obligations.
4. AI processing and service providers
To turn your notes into questions and explanations, the text of your uploaded material is sent securely to an AI provider, OpenAI, which processes it on our behalf and returns the result. Under OpenAI’s API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train its models by default. Please don’t upload material you aren’t comfortable sharing with these providers, such as other people’s private information.
We also use cloud hosting and database providers to run our services, and an email delivery service to send verification and account emails. These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us. If you sign in with Google, Google’s own privacy policy applies to that sign-in.
5. Where your data is stored and how we protect it
Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting and database providers, which may be located outside Rwanda. Where data is transferred abroad, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards. We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, hashed session tokens and access controls limited to the people who need them. No online service is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account, uploaded notes and practice results for as long as your account is active, or until you delete them. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your uploads and quiz history, within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep something (for example, security logs or records needed to resolve a dispute).
7. Your rights and how to delete your data
You can ask us at any time to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account and all the data attached to it;
- stop or restrict certain uses of your data, or withdraw consent you gave us.
To delete your account and data: email hello@ejuvo.rw from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm it’s you, then delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also remove individual uploaded documents yourself from your library in the app.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to Rwanda’s data protection supervisory authority, the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA).
8. Children
Notrev is built for students and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, please use our products with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email hello@ejuvo.rw and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products change. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the product or by email.
